 Impala Mk I – 532 – Silver Falcons 2

After lying derelict for a few years and gathering dust in storage, Impala 532 was recently re-assembled by the technical team of the Air Force Museum at Swartkop to be put on static display.

Its reinstatement is a fitting tribute to the Silver Falcons aerobatic team, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. This aircraft served with the team from 1993 following the transfer of 83 Jet Flying School Langebaanweg to 85 Combat Flying School at Hoedspruit.

This aircraft displays the 1993 colour scheme of dark blue, light blue and white of the SAAF on the silver fuselage.

Members of the Friends of the Museum at Swartkop volunteered to clean and polish the aircraft to its former glory and the aircraft will soon join the proud line of aircraft on static display at Swartkop.
